Camping?
And what 4 of July wouldn't be complete without camping? Thats right, we went camping. Best part is, we did it in our back yard. Yup dats right. We pitched our tent, had a cookout and did smores with our fire pit and camped out in a tent. It was totally my kind of camping.
I can't believe July is half over. We are having a blast enjoying swimming and playing outside. We are keeping the slip'n'slide to good use and going through water balloons like crazy. Its been an awesome summer so far. Reality is starting to hit though. We just had to buy Brads books for this fall and he is getting things lined up to get back into school. Its such a bitter sweet but I am so excited for him to be done.
Well our July kicked off pretty awesome. We spent one early morning fishing with Grandma and Grandpa Garrett. We all had a blast. The boys loved it and even though we didn't catch anything the memories will be something they will never forget. Thank you grandma and grandpa. Later we continued the fun with a cookout and Nanny and Poppys house. Complete with fireworks. It was a blast and the fourth hadn't even started yet. We took our exhausted boys home to crash only to be woken up early to get down to the parade. We had awesome seats (thanx Uncle Josh) and the boys had so much fun. The highlights were the fast, loud police motorcycles, and huge lifted trucks. After the parade we continued the festivities by eating at the best Mexican food place, Mi Ranchitos. Its crazy but the kids love it and crave the "chips and salsa place." Our day wouldn't have been complete if it hadn't been for the stadium of fire fireworks. We staked out spots at Brent Brown down in Provo and enjoyed the brief excitement of the fire work show, then it was home to crash. We love the fourth of July. It wouldn't have been holiday if we hadn't completely crash from exhaustion.
